Sophie, Dylan, Poppy: Sophie is best friends with Archie on our walks and they do pretty much everything together. Sometimes after a walk they will decide to jump into the same cage and curl up together. When we arrive at one of their homes to drop one off, they are invariably both sound asleep! Sophie is a happy,
outgoing dog and likes being with other dogs and people - particularly if they have a ball! She knows where all the balls are kept in the van and has usually pinched one while we are getting the other dogs out. She enjoys swimming and running around in the woods. At home she is very close to Dylan the cat, and they are often found asleep together. Dylan always comes to say hello when we pick up Sophie and is usually rewarded with a titbit. He is a very affectionate and handsome cat who loves to be made a fuss of. The remaining addition to the household is Poppy the Guinea-Pig , who lives happily alongside Sophie and Dylan.

"We first met helen and Vincent over 4 years ago when we needed someone to housesit our very elderly but much loved cat who was too old to go to a cattery. We went on holiday with complete peace of mind, knowing that he would be well looked after. At the same time, they cared for our 2 guinea pigs and even took one of them to the 'piggy' hospital in Huntingdon when he became sick whilst we were away.

Over the years our 'menagerie' has changed and Helen and Vincent have taken on each new arrival with ease. As I go out to work all day, it is so comforting to know that Sophie, our pretty boisterous Labrador, is well looked after and loves them just as much as she loves her midday walk. Not only do they take Sophie for lovely walks, but they also take the time to check up on our cat and guinea pig! I trust their advice completely.

I can honestly say that I would not know what to do without Helen and Vincent. I rely on their help, warmth and the wholehearted love they give to our animals 100%. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Millie's Petcarers to anyone who is looking for someone who you can trust to look after and love your animals as much as you do."

Archie: Archie is best pals with Sophie. Very handsome and a real bundle of enthusiasm, he absolutely loves his walks and it's great for us to see him making the most of every second. An out-and -out-retriever, he loves water and is an excellent swimmer. Like Sophie, he loves ball games and the look of "there's a job well done" when he plonks the ball at our feet always makes us

smile. Despite his energy, he is a sensitive and caring dog and a real gent to Sophie and will always drop the ball only for her if he gets there first, so that she can get brownie points when she brings it back. He and Sophie are so close, most of the people we meet think they are either related or live together. Whatever one is doing, so is the other. If ever there was a dog version of Clark Gable, he is it!

"Helen and Vincent have now been taking out my Archie every weekday while I am out at work since July 2007. They are wonderful. It is obvious that they love dogs. Archie adores them both, he's beside himself with excitement when they arrive. I have said 'taking out' rather than 'walking' because what they actually give Archie is not a walk but a fantastic stimulating run/play off the lead and a swim in the river every day.

While Helen and Vincent are brilliant with Archie, I have also been impressed by the professional way in which they provide their service, for example with a smart purpose-fitted out van and insurance cover. They are also always keen to discuss any health or other issues that Archie has. They have proved to be 100% reliable and trustworthy (and they have a door key which they keep permanently).

I would not hesitate to recommend Helen and Vincent to anyone who is interested in employing them as dogwalkers. I cannot imagine anyone better and I have found them invaluable."

Charlie Brown: Charlie is a great little character, always chirpy and happy to see us. When we arrive, Charlie is usually waiting for us, looking out of an upstairs window. As soon as he sees the van, he scurries downstairs to greet us at the door, chattering away to us. Being an older chap, with a few health issues, none of us really knew for sure how he would cope with a group walk,

so we took him on a trial basis to start with, but he absolutely loves it! He trots along just fine with the other dogs and is very sociable with other dogs and people that we happen to meet along the way, who all think he's adorable. He's given the opportunity to walk at his own pace, but sometimes surprises us at his turn of speed and when he runs, has a great big smile on his face. Charlie particularly likes having a cuddle on Helen's lap and I'm sure would like to ride up front if he could. When we drop him off, he jumps into his bed for a tummy rub and fuss before we leave. Charlie has become a firm favourite and is a real star!

"I can wholeheartedly recommend Millie's Petcarers. Our dog is not only a cherished member of the family, but he has some health issues, so I was a little concerned about finding a dog walker that I would trust enough to take care of our dog while we were out at work. Right from our first meeting, Helen and Vincent made us feel comfortable. But what really convinced me was our dog's reaction. On the first day Charlie was very reluctant to get in a van with people that he didn't know. On the second day Helen and Vincent came to pick him up and when Helen leaned down to greet him, he gave her a kiss. I knew then that we had found the right people for the job. Now I can tell that he absolutely loves going out with them and it's such a relief for me when I leave for work knowing that he is also going to enjoy his day. On a practical level, they are very reliable and have never missed a day. They are always quick to give us a ring if they have any concerns about Charlie's health or just to check in to make sure that all is well. They also are very conscientious about cleaning him up before they leave him in the house. One day they even gave him a full bath!! To put it simply they are everything you would want in a dog walker."
