Millie's Petcarers is a small, family-owned business in Cambridge specialising in quality Petcare solutions including dog walking, home sitting plus lots more. Started by Helen Seymore and Vincent Fortune, and originally led by an ever-increasing number of requests from friends and neighbours for them to care for their animals whilst they were away. Eventually caring for other peoples pets took over and, having always had lives full of animals, they decided to share their experience and look after pets full-time.

Helen was raised on a working livestock farm in Suffolk and spent her childhood around animals, and quickly developed a natural affinity for them. Helen has owned many pets over the years and when she moved to Cambridge was a familiar sight walking in Nightingale Avenue park, followed by a procession of her various dogs and cats. Helen has worked for the Law Society, Social Services Home Visiting for the Elderly and in a Residential Care Home, in addition to working with workshops for the mentally and physically handicapped.

Vincent was also brought up in the country and there is a joke amongst his family that he was raised by the family dog, a Bernese Mountain Dog/Lab cross, who acted as a nanny. The yard and barns were filled with animals of many kinds, from ducks and chickens, to ferrets, rabbits, birds and tropical fish and his interest in animals therefore began at an early age. This has always stayed with him and it was not uncommon to come across a convalescing barn owl, or a dazed squirrel in a pet carrier when visiting, as well as the more common household pets around the house. Vincent has worked on diverse projects, including work for the MoD, and as Project Manager for a Disabilities Charity.
